🚨 🚨 This year, the GHS eSports🎮 team will be conducting a fundraiser with the help of Kizzy's Kakes🎂. We will have loaf kakes for sale for $7 each (plus $1 transaction fee). Flavors available are 🍓Strawberry Crunch, 🍋🟩Key Lime, and ❤️Red Velvet.
Money will be used to purchase jerseys, gaming equipment such as consoles and computers, and pay our yearly registration fee to PlayVS, our competition platform, and possibly (🤞🤞🤞) travel to playoffs/finals.
The fundraiser will begin Monday. You can order online at GoFan. Last day to place orders is August 28th, and Cakes will be available to pick up September 10th on the GHS bus ramp 4pm-6pm.

Today middle and high school fall Griffin-Spalding County Schools Athletics participated in the Beyond Self Athlete's Assembly, led by Community Partner and Mentor David Johnson. The Beyond Self Athlete Program is meant to grow student leadership skills, build character and improve school culture. Athletes were told they are all Persons Of Influence (POI) and the importance of the 3 R's: Respect Yourself, Respect Others and Take Responsibility. Keynote Speaker Tunji Adebayo Jr. inspired student-athletes to develop the skills and attitudes they need to recognize their potential. He taught the students that everyone is unique and can achieve greatness.

2026 Griffin-Spalding County School System Educator Hall of Fame nominations are open Aug 5 – Sept. 11, 2026. Don't miss out on nominating an exemplary GSCS educator! Nomination forms are available at this link https://forms.gle/2d3HDkW9uaPDAUh5A. The 2026 class will be inducted during a special ceremony on October 27 at the Griffin-Spalding Board of Education meeting.
Educators should be nominated for his/her outstanding and significant contributions to students, staff, parents and the community during their employment at GSCS. Nominees must have been employed at GSCS for a minimum of 10 years and be retired for at least five years.
Griffin High School appreciates the support of our families and community members who volunteer their time to help our scholars succeed!
All Griffin-Spalding County School System volunteers, chaperones, and mentors must complete a background check through SecureVolunteer, complete the required volunteer training, and receive approval before they are permitted to volunteer.
