Service Clubs
High school service clubs provide students with the opportunity to give back to their communities through volunteer work, fundraising, and other service projects. These clubs not only allow students to develop important life skills such as leadership, communication, and teamwork, but they also improve their chances of being accepted to college. According to a study by the Corporation for National and Community Service, students who participate in service activities are 19% more likely to graduate from college and 27% more likely to have higher income levels than those who do not participate. Additionally, colleges and universities look favorably on students who have demonstrated a commitment to service, as it shows their dedication to making a positive difference in the world. By joining a service club in high school, students not only make a difference in their communities but also set themselves up for future success.
