Morgan Parent Coordinator

Artavious E. Morgan CRMS Parent Liaison

Artavious E. Morgan serves as the Parent Liaison and 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher at Cowan Road Middle School. Mr. Morgan is a graduate of Spalding High School and continued his education at Georgia Southern University, where he studied Sociology and Human Development and Family Science. During his time there, he was an active member of Men of Vision and Excellence, a statewide initiative focused on the success of African American male scholars. As part of this distinguished Gold Campus Organization, he and his peers maintained a GPA of 3.8 or higher. He was also awarded a prestigious Internship Scholarship with the Office of Career and Professional Development in the summer of 2020.

Mr. Morgan further enhanced his professional training by completing the Child Welfare Training Collaborative (CWTC) at Georgia State University. This program, in partnership with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services, equips community partners with the knowledge and tools to better address the needs of children and families across the state. Morgan later served as a Social Services Specialist with the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services in Child Protective Services Unit and Family Preservation Unit.

He later earned a degree in Applied Management from the Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University. This fall, he will begin pursuing a Master of Education in Higher Education Student Affairs at Grand Canyon University.

As Parent Liaison, Mr. Morgan is committed to building strong partnerships between families and the school community, ensuring every parent feels informed, welcomed, and empowered. With over a decade of experience across education, social services, and human resources, Mr. Morgan brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his work with families. He has worked across multiple counties in Georgia—including Coweta, DeKalb, Fayette, Henry, Rockdale, and Griffin-Spalding giving him a strong and diverse perspective on the needs of both students and their caregivers.

Tiawna Cooper CRMS Parent Liaison

Ms. Tiawna Cooper proudly serves as the Reading Support Teacher and Parent Liaison at Cowan Road Middle School. With four years of experience in Griffin-Spalding County Schools, she is passionate about creating a positive and engaging learning environment where all students can thrive.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K–6) from Barry University and a master’s degree in Reading Education (K–12) from Nova Southeastern University in Miami, Florida. Ms. Cooper enjoys using technology to make instruction both meaningful and enjoyable, helping students connect with content in creative ways.

Outside the classroom, she loves reading, attending church, watching movies, and spending time with family and friends. Ms. Cooper values open communication and is dedicated to supporting both students and families throughout the school year.
