Meet SGA Advisors 6th-8th:

Ms. Middleton is a proud graduate of the University of West Georgia, where she earned two Bachelor of Business Administration degrees—one in Marketing and another in Management Information Systems. During her time at UWG, she gained experience in areas like email and online marketing, hardware, and databases.
She is currently pursuing her Master of Education in Secondary Education with an Emphasis in Humanities at Grand Canyon University. Ms. Middleton is passionate about education, building connections, and using her diverse background to positively impact her community and the students she serves.
Mr. Cory Ware is a proud Georgia native and a committed advocate for local government and community leadership. He earned his Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Georgia Southern University’s Frankin College in May 2021, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. During his time at Georgia Southern, Mr. Ware served as President of the MPA Student Association, where he helped promote civic engagement and professional development among future public service leaders. His graduate work focused on program evaluation, policy research, and strategic local governance.
Before pursuing his master’s, Mr. Ware completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia’s Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology in December 2017. While at UGA, he was an active member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., and served as a student assistant in the LINC (Leadership, Innovation, and Career) initiative, supporting student development and campus outreach.
Mr. Ware brings a unique blend of academic excellence, leadership experience, and a deep commitment to public service values that align strongly with student government and broader community-focused missions.

Mr. Artavious E. Morgan proudly serves as the Student Government Association (SGA) Advisor at Cowan Road Middle School, where he also works as the Parent Liaison and 8th Grade English Language Arts teacher. A proud graduate of Spalding High School, Mr. Morgan made school history as the first-ever Homecoming Prince, and he actively served on the Student Government Association during his time as a scholar—an early sign of his lifelong dedication to student voice and leadership.
He went on to attend Georgia Southern University, studying Sociology and Human Development and Family Science. There, he was a member of Men of Vision and Excellence, a prestigious statewide initiative designed to support the academic and personal success of African American male scholars. As part of this Gold Campus Organization, Mr. Morgan maintained a GPA of 3.8 or higher and was awarded a competitive Internship Scholarship through the Office of Career and Professional Development in the summer of 2020.
Mr. Morgan has continued to grow as an advocate for youth, completing the Child Welfare Training Collaborative (CWTC) at Georgia State University. He served in the Georgia Division of Family and Children Services as a Social Services Specialist in both Child Protective Services and the Family Preservation Unit—experience that greatly informs his work in supporting student and family well-being.
He later earned a degree in Applied Management from the Colangelo College of Business at Grand Canyon University and will begin pursuing a Master of Education in Higher Education Student Affairs this fall.
As SGA Advisor, Mr. Morgan is committed to empowering student leaders to serve with purpose, lead with integrity, and use their voices to make meaningful contributions to their school community. His journey—from student government leader to educator and advisor—embodies the very leadership values he now instills in his students.
