Students Compete Well at SKILLS USA Competition

Mr. Joe Tuggle of Swofford Construction organized a Skills contest called Skills Challenge, which was held on November 2, 2017 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Griffin Kiwanis Fairgrounds.  This event is aimed at giving students a chance to practice their skills before the main SkillsUSA Region 5 contest in February.  Griffin High school competed in Masonry, Carpentry, Electrical, Blueprint Reading, and Plumbing.  India Bryant 1st place electrical wiring, Ira Smith third place masonry, and Andrew Landrum third place plumbing.
