Griffin High School Hosts Probe College Fair

The PROBE Fair is an activity sponsored by the Georgia Education Articulation Committee, Inc. It’s purpose is to disseminate information and stimulate interest in post-secondary education for the students in Georgia.

For approximately 20 years, Griffin High School has hosted the PROBE Fair with students from Spalding County and surrounding counties in attendance.  The typical PROBE Fair consists of two hours of browsing time for students and parents.  Over sixty college and university representatives answered questions to topics such as financial aid, housing, programs of study, admission’s requirements, scholarship and campus life.  Post secondary schools present were from South Carolina, Alabama and Georgia.

Portia Lacy, Academy of Fine Arts Counselor and PROBE Fair Coordinator,  feels that this is an opportunity for students to engage with college representatives on the GHS Campus to received information on college readiness and post secondary options.
